Have you ever been told by a doctor or other medical professional to exercise 30 minutes a day (or more) and you feel like this is IMPOSSIBLE? While this can seem daunting, it doesn't have to be. Here are some tips:
You don't have to do it all at once
Just because you were told to do 30 minutes of exercise, that doesn't mean it all has ton be done at once. You can break it up into smaller bouts.
1-30 minute workout
2-15 minute workouts
3-10 minute workouts
6- 5 minute workouts
Maybe 30 minutes all at once is too much. THAT"S OKAY. You can build on that and gradually increase the time that you exercise.
It's no joke when they say "slow and steady wins the race".
And there's no shame in taking it slow and building as your body gets used to the exercise you are doing.
Most things that involve moving count as exercise
When people here the word "exercise", sometimes panic ensues and it sounds like a super hard task. Instead, let's think about exercise as deliberate movement. If you are doing things like walking extra, doing chores that feel more strenuous, stretching, yardwork, riding your bike, chasing the little ones around the house...all of those things count as exercise. You just want to feel like you've put in some effort and worked a little harder than usual. It is up to you what that looks like!

One of the biggest things that stands in peoples way of exercising is the fear of "overdoing it". And believe me, I get it. It can be disheartening and downright painful when that happens and it makes you not so eager to do it again.
